Karen Ross Ohlinger is a self taught artist who began drawing as a child and has never stopped. Her first career was fashion illustration at a major department store. In recent years, she has found a new love creating art in books for children. She says,”Seeing the characters come to life is a real joy.”

 

A flower gardener and avid hiker, she has received much of the inspiration for her work from Mother Nature. When away from her studio, Karen can be found at the library or bookstore searching for a good mystery novel.
